In the second quarter of 2023, the top five social networking apps in Cyprus demonstrated diverse trends in their weekly downloads and revenue. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides a comprehensive overview of how these popular apps performed.

Telegram Messenger saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at around $1.6K in late May and mid-June. Weekly downloads also exhibited an upward trend, starting at approximately 3.4K at the end of March and reaching over 4K by the end of June.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a relatively stable revenue stream, with weekly figures hovering around $2. Downloads, however, showed significant growth, especially in June, where they surged to a peak of 8.6K in the first week and remained strong throughout the month.

Facebook experienced fluctuations in both revenue and downloads. Revenue varied from a low of $187 in late May to a high of $453 in mid-April. Downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, rising from around 2.2K in early April to over 2.6K in early June.

Messenger displayed a mixed performance. Revenue saw some peaks, such as $33 in mid-May, but also had weeks with minimal earnings. Downloads remained relatively stable, with notable increases in June, peaking at about 2.6K mid-month.

Rakuten Viber Messenger showed a consistent increase in revenue, particularly in June when it reached $433. Downloads also followed an upward trajectory, starting from around 1.6K in late March and climbing to over 2.2K by mid-June.
